Tucker Hofstetter - May 17, 2012

Tucker Hofstetter is a fifteen year old grade 10 student from Paris District High School who has been an avid curler since the age of 4 getting his start with the Tim Horton’s Little Rocks Program at the Paris Curling Club.
In 2011 he skipped his grade 9 team to the Brant County High School Boys Curling Championship at the Brantford Golf and Country Club. This qualified them for the Central Western Ontario Secondary Schools Association Championships in Owen Sound.
Tucker won the School Spirit Award and the Volunteerism Award in grade 8; the Mr. PDHS and the MVA Curling Award in grade 9; he has competed in Zone competitions each year, and was the 2011 Bantam Zone A side and the 2012 Jr. Zone B side winner.
He curls with the Brant Curling Club Men’s League and Junior League, the Paris Curling Club Choose Your Own League, and the Oakville Summer League.
Tucker volunteered at the Paris Fair helping his father with the Ambassador photo’s and Northward School. He currently volunteers at the Paris Curling Club working as an ice technician’s helper.
He is also the Junior Pro-Am Curling liaison for the Sun Life Financial Curling Classic and volunteers at Springtime in Paris, and the Hit the Broom-Curling Gear.
His short term goal is to win the 2012/13 Bantam Provincial Curling Champion as a member of Team Wanless, under the coaching direction of Richard Hart.
His long term goals are to win a Junior Provincial Curling Championship to curl in the Ontario Tankard, the Brier and the Men’s World Curling Championships, and in the future represent Canada, curling in the Winter Olympics.
Tucker is very thankful for the support of his sponsors, coaches, teachers, fellow curlers and family.
Tucker is a hardworking student who achieves good marks, his favorite subjects are history, civics & automotive. He hopes to pursue a career in either engineering or architecture.
