Ben Sawicki - March 20, 2008
Ben Sawicki is a 12 year old grade seven student at Brier Park Public School who participates in hockey, softball, volleyball, soccer, badminton, track and field, and cross country.
Ben was an active member of the Brantford Church Hockey League for 4 years and helped his team participate in the league finals twice and won the championships once. His team played in the Provincial Championships twice and was a member of the Brantford Church Hockey Saints Select team.
He was also a member of the Brantford Minor Soccer League for 8 years and is now playing for Brantford Intercity Soccer.
Ben helped his school athletic teams win several awards including the 2005 / 2007 Cross Country Championships, the 2006 / 2007 Soccer Championships, his badminton team finished 3rd in 2007, his volleyball team placed 2nd in 2007 and the Brier Park softball team were undefeated champions allowing no runs in 2007.
Ben is a hardworking student who has an 84% average and is the 2007/08 Student Council President. He enjoys fishing and boating and in the future hopes to become a Chartered Accountant.
