Aaron Carpenter - November 29, 2001
This week's TCO "Athlete of the Week" is Celina Boswell-DiFrancesco an 18 year-old OAC student from B.C.I. who was team captain of her high school basketball team this season and played a key role in helping her team to CWOSSA. Celina played for the MDP Tri-County Regional Provincial team for the last two summers and this year was selected from the top 20 Ontario players to take part in the Wilfrid Laurier Basketball Camp where she was scouted by several Canadian and US university coaches. She has played CYO basketball for the past six years and was selected to the AAA team where she has won leading scorer and MVP awards. Celina is also captain of her high school soccer team and last year played for the Brantford Blazers Women's Elite Soccer Team. She enjoys track and field and helps out at the North Park Brier's basketball camp each summer. Celina looks forward to attending University next year, will pursue a career in law and plans to try out for the University basketball team.
