Danielle Read - February 7, 2002
The Tournament Capital of Ontario "Athlete of the Week" is Danielle Read a grade 7 student from Christ the King school who plays house league and rep. hockey. Danielle recently represented the Brantford Ice Cats Peewee girls hockey team in a skills competition at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, where she was the only player to score a goal. She plays both defence and forward positions and has been involved in girls hockey for the past six years. She is a dedicated participant who loves the game of hockey. Danielle also plays on her school volleyball team and they just won the Brant Haldimand-Norfolk Catholic District School Volleyball Championships. Danielle is 12 years old and in her spare time volunteers to help the junior and senior kindergarten classes.
