Eileen David -September 24, 2009
Eileen David is an eleven-year-old grade six student from Coronation School who participates in several sports including softball, fast pitch, cross country, volleyball, basketball and hockey.
She has been involved in softball since she was seven, house league for 2 years & rep fast pitch for 3 years with the Brantford Minor Softball. She played defence on rep teams with the Brantford Girl Hockey Association for 4 years and last year played rep Atom BB moving up to rep PeeWee B this year. She also participated in cross country running, volleyball, softball & basketball at her school.
Eileen has contributed to the success of her Mite Fast Pitch team winning a bronze medal at the PWSA Provincials in 2007. Her Squirt Tier 1 Fast Pitch team won the PWSA Provincial Grand Championships in 2009 and several others including the Whitby Spring Fling champions, the Waterloo Ghosts Invitational champions, the Guelph Gator Classic silver medal, the Grand Valley Ladies Softball Association regular season champions, the Grand Valley Ladies Softball Association playoff champions and they participated at the Midwest World Series in Columbus Ohio.
Eileen also won several cross-country awards in track & field for Coronation School and was a member of the Junior Basketball team for Coronation School that won the 2009 Brant County Elementary School Championships.
She volunteered for Brantford Minor Softball helping with skills clinics over the past few years for the younger divisions and also helped at the Paris Fair.
Eileen is a dedicated and hardworking student who enjoys school and achieves A & B marks. In the future she hopes to maintain good marks at school and keep playing sports.
