Halle Sitarski - April 15, 2010
Halle Sitarski is a twelve year old grade seven student from Christ the King school who participates in track and field, volleyball, basketball and soccer.
She was voted MVP at the Hamilton/ Transway basketball tournament in 2007/08, and she won the Most Defensive Player award at Olympia Sports Camp that same year. Her Brantford CYO Atom Girls AAA basketball team won the AAA Provincial Championships in March 2008.
Halle won the St. Basil's Family of Schools Knights of Columbus Free Throw Competition in 2007 and 2010. She was the Junior Girls Track and Field Champion for both 2008 and 2009.
She has been participating in soccer for nine years, basketball for eight years, four of them on a the rep team.
Halle won the Junior Public Speaking competitions for Christ the King school in 2007 and 2008. This spring, she placed first in the Intermediate Public Speaking competition at Christ the King school, and went on to place first at the St. John's Family of Schools Intermediate Public Speaking competition held recently.
Halle is an active volunteer in the community as a student mentor/ buddy at Christ the King school and will be traveling to South Africa to do some volunteer work in the next month.
She is a dedicated and hard working student who maintains a 90% average and plans to follow her dreams of playing High school and University basketball while studying sports medicine.
