Ignacio Villalobos - July 25, 2002
The Tournament Capital of Ontario "Athlete of the Week" is Ignacio Villalobos an 11 year-old, grade 7 student from Onondaga-Brant public school who participates in several different sports. Ignacio (nickname Iggy) is a member of the Brant County Little League major Rascals all-star team and the Onondaga major hardball house league team. His positions are 3rd base, short stop and pitcher but is currently sidelined with a broken arm. Iggy played in the Brantford Minor Indoor Soccer league and won both the house league and mosquito division playoff championships. He was one of the league's leading goal scorers and lead his division in assists.
Iggy plays badminton for the Brantford Badminton Club and participated in the finals for the B division under 12 boys singles and doubles. He also played badminton for Onondaga Brant public school where he captured gold medals in the junior boys singles at both Regionals and Brant County Championships.
Iggy also participates in pinball soccer, mass deck tennis, floor hockey, softball, track and field and still maintains a high average in school.
