J. B. Sless - July 19, 2001
This week's TCO "Athlete of the Week" is J. B. Sless a 14-year-old, grade 10 student who attends B.C.I. He competed and was chosen as a member of the under 15 rugby team "Team Ontario" and was part of the B.C.I. midget rugby team that won the Ontario Championships this year. He was also part of the B.C.I. junior football team that won the 2000 City Championships, he played badminton doubles and won both the City and CWOSSA Championships, and he also qualified for the Regional Track & Field Championships representing B.C.I., throwing the javelin. J. B. was Male Athlete of the Year when he graduated from public school and was part of the AAA hockey team that traveled to Los Angeles. J. B. will be very busy this summer as part of Team Ontario competing against the touring European rugby teams and will also travel to Washington, D.C.
