Jacqueline Legere- May 10, 2007
Jacqueline Legere is a fifteen-year old grade 10 student from Paris District High School who is active in several sports including hockey, soccer, gymnastics, volleyball, track and field, cross-country and cheerleading.
She has been an active member of several high school teams over the past two years and helped her team win the 2005 Brant County Gymnastics title for the first time in twenty years. She finished 1 st in bars, 6th in vault, and 7th in the floor routine.
Jacqueline helped the Paris Panthers girls hockey team win the 2007 Montreal Canadian Cup tournament, they finished 2 nd at the 2007 Burbear tournament, they won the 2005 BCSSA and CWOSSA Championships, they finished 2 nd at the 2005 Burbear tournament, they participated at the 2005 OFSSA Championships in London and were finalists at the 2004 Lake Placid tournament.
In grade 9 she was involved in the junior soccer team and the track and field relay team that participated in the 400 metre and 100 metre races. In grade 10 she has been an active member of the junior girls cross-country team, the junior volleyball team and the Panthers cheerleading squad.
Jacqueline also participates in swimming, skiing, snowboarding, dirt biking and has completed one grade 11 credit for piano and is working on her second grade 11 credit.
She enjoys volunteering and has completed over 60 hours of community work; she is a referee for the St. George soccer league.
Jacqueline hopes to attend University after graduation and become a veterinarian; she also plans to continue her athletic career.
