Jake Milligan - March 25, 2010
Jake Milligan is a sixteen-year-old grade 11 student from St. John’s College who has been involved in several sports including rugby, track and field and hockey.
Jake played hockey for the Brantford AAA 99ers for several years and is currently a member of the St. George Dukes. He is training hard and hoping to crack the Sting line-up for the start of next season. He was recently drafted in the 8th round of the Ontario Hockey Leagues draft by the Sarnia Sting and hopes to play in the OHL next year.
Jake was a member of the Team Ontario Rugby team in 2008 that travelled to Newfoundland and was selected to play on the team again in 2009. He is a member of the SJC rugby team who will be traveling to Hawaii over March break and was named the SCJ MVP for rugby in 2009.
He has been involved with the St. Johns girls hockey team as assistant coach for the past two years.
Jake is a hardworking and focused student who is on his school’s honour role and participates in all university level classes. His goal is to receive a scholarship from either the OHL Academic program or a NCAA scholarship. He intends to pursue a teaching career, play varsity hockey and one day secure a teaching position at St. John’s College.
