Jennifer Van Sickle - February 14, 2002
The Tournament Capital of Ontario "Athlete of the Week" is Jennifer Van Sickle a grade 12 student from Pauline Johnson who participates in a variety of sports including basketball, volleyball, rugby and soccer. Jennifer is 17 years-old, co-captain of her high school rugby team and also helped her senior volleyball team win the Brant County Championships during the 2000/2001 season.
She volunteers at school as a peer tutor, is involved with the athletic council, the literacy magazine and in the summer volunteers at a group home for disabled adults.
Jennifer also excels academically and has been on the high honour roll since grade 9. Her goal is to attend University and pursue a career in medical sciences with an interest in optometry.
