Jessi Sullivan - January 27, 2005
Jessi Sullivan is a fifteen-year-old, grade ten student who attends Assumption College and for the past eight years has been involved in the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) program playing her favourite sport basketball.
In 2003 Jessi won the Athlete of the Year award at her grade 8 graduation, she won the Gus Macker 3-on-3 tournament championships and the NBA hoop-it-up championships for the past three years.
Jessi was a member of the junior and senior girls CWOSSA championship teams and was recently chosen to represent Brant County in the Hamilton Spectator Senior Girls Basketball Classic, where she won the three-point shoot-out.
She is a starting point guard for the Assumption College senior girls basketball team and is involved in the CYO program where she competes on a travel team and helps coach a girls house league team. This past summer Jessi volunteered at the Brantford Basketball Camp and helped out wherever she was needed.
She has also been a member of the Assumption College's midget and junior volleyball teams for the past two years.
Jessi is a dedicated and hard working student who received the academic award for her achievements in grade eight, she currently maintains a 90 percent average and is on the honour role at Assumption College.
Jessi's future plans include attending university to further her education and playing varsity basketball.
