Jordan Wallace has been playing hockey since he was four years old and this past season was a member of the Brantford 99ers Minor Peewee A hockey team. He is a natural leader both on and off the ice and was thrilled when he won the MVP award at a winter tournament this year after helping his team become finalists at the Guelph Power Play Tournament. His team also finished in first place at the Belleville Ramses tournament.
During the 2002/03 season Jordan helped his Minor Atom A team become play down finalists and in 2003/04 Jordan was captain of the Brantford 99er Atom A team that finished as playoff finalists.
In the summer Jordan enjoys playing baseball and has been part of the Brantford Minor Baseball Association for two years, and recently helped his team finish in first place.
Jordan has been playing basketball with the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) for the past five years and has attended summer basketball camps for the past three years where he worked hard to win a spot on their championship teams each year.
He enjoyed competing at his school's track and field meet where he placed first in both the triple jump and high jump and placed fourth in the 400m. He then competed at the County meet and placed second in high jump and third in the triple jump. He is looking forward to competing again next year and hopes to improve his personal bests.
Jordan attends St. Gabriel School and last year was a grade six-class representative and a member of the student council. Jordan is a dedicated student who has a talent for public speaking. He represented his class and school at the annual public speaking contest sponsored by the Royal Canadian Legion, where he placed second. Jordan was also a member of the school Robotics team and was part of his school's cross-country team.
Last year, this energetic 11-year-old was thrilled to receive two Super Star Awards for his positive class involvement and offering assistance to both his fellow students and teachers.
In his spare time, Jordan enjoys roller hockey, skateboarding, playing on the computer, video games, riding his bike, swimming, golf, and spending time with his family and friends.
