Both years he belonged to a ten-person team that helped raise $1000 in donations. Kevin travelled to the United States on two occasions to volunteer with the Mennonite Disaster Relief Service, helping re-build homes in Tennessee and Virginia that were ravaged by hurricanes and tornadoes. During the spring he volunteers with the Snowmobile Association, clearing the trails.
Throughout his time at Assumption College, Kevin distinguished himself academically, winning several awards. He is an Ontario Scholar who was on the school's Honour Roll from Grade 9 through to Grade 12. He finished his final year of high school with a 97% average, and at his graduation he received several accolades in the sciences, including the Anthony Mancuso Memorial Award. This fall Kevin plans to study Engineering at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. He hopes to continue participating in sport at the intramural level, and aspires to use his education in engineering to help develop advances in the field of pollution control.
