Laura Tennant - January 28, 2010
Laura Tennant is a twelve year old grade 7 student from Our Lady of Providence School who has been involved in soccer for 6 years, softball for 2 years, skating for 3 years, basketball for 3 years, gymnastics for 2 years, swimming for 10 years and dance for 4 years.
She has been playing house league basketball for 3 years and rep for 2 years with Brantford CYO basketball and Brantford Briers basketball; she has also been involved with Brantford Softball and Brantford Youth Soccer. She tried out for her school’s basketball team recently and hopes to play for her school’s volleyball team.
Laura received the Most Improved Player award in softball when she was 10 and also received a basketball award.
She is a member of her school’s safety patrol and volunteered for the fun fair.
Laura is a dedicated and hardworking student who maintains A’s and B’s. In the future she hopes to attend the University of Guelph and become a veterinarian. She also wants to remain active in a variety of sports and hone her skills in softball, volleyball and gymnastics.
