Shelby Tremblay - September 26, 2002
The Tournament Capital of Ontario "Athlete of the Week" is Shelby Tremblay a 15 year-old grade 10 student from Brantford Collegiate Institute who excels in the sport of wrestling. Shelby has been involved in wrestling since grade 5 and is currently a member of the Brant United Wrestling Club and also competes for the BCI wrestling team.
She competed at CWOSSA in February 2002 and placed 8th, she then competed at the Ontario Winter Games in March where she placed 4th and last year received the Most Valuable Female Wrestler at BCI.
Shelby helps teach wrestling at Lansdowne-Costain School and has been a member of the BCI Student Council for the past two years. She maintains a high academic average and her goal is to continue teaching others the sport of wrestling and one day to become a child psychologist.
