Victoria Waud - June 14, 2007
Victoria Waud is a ten-year-old grade 4 student who attends Agnes Hodge Public School and is actively involved in several sports.
She has been a member of the Brantford Youth Soccer League for 3 years and is also a member of her school’s soccer and volleyball teams.
Victoria recently participated at her school’s track and field meet for the first time, placing 1st in the 400 metre and 100 metre races, she finished 2 nd in the 1500 metre race and represented her school at the regional track and field meet.
She has been a member of the CYO Basketball League for the past 3 years playing at the "A" and "AAA" levels. Victoria is proud to have represented CYO this year (2007) at the Novice level, "AAA" where she helped her team finish 2 nd out of 32 teams, winning a silver medal and finishing second in the province.
Victoria played on the Agnes Hodge Huskies co-ed junior basketball team and helped her team win the Brant County Elementary School Basketball Championships.
Victoria was chosen the Junior Female Athlete of the Year at her school in 2004 and again in 2006.
She participates in the M.S. Walk and the Run for Light each year. Victoria takes piano and singing lessons each week, and recently participated in the Brantford Collegiate Institute, (BCI) production of "Oliver" as a cast member.
Victoria is an excellent student who maintains an A average; she plans to continue developing her basketball skills and hopes to one day be accepted to a university and pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
Victoria would like to thank all her wonderful coaches and teachers who have inspired her to do her best.
