4th Walter Gretzky Street Hockey Tournament shooting for Guinness World Record
The 4th annual Walter Gretzky Street Hockey Tournament will be hosted in Brantford on June 4 to 6 at the BHI venue located at the Steve Brown Sports Complex / Lions Park.
Kevin Smith, international film producer, director and actor is returning again this year to participate in the tournament and help break the Guinness World Record for the 'Largest Street Hockey Tournament', currently at 192 teams set in Ladysmith on Vancouver Island in 2007.
Walter will be on hand to welcome everyone to Brantford for a weekend of FUN and sports. Teams in the following age categories are invited to register for the tournament; 7 to 9, 10 to 12, 13 to 15, 13 to 17 Teen boys, 13 to 17 Teen girls, Adult Recreational, Adult Intermediate, Adult Competitive, Adult 35+ and Ladies.
Registration fee is $299 + tax per team and the deadline to register is May 26.
Proceeds from this year’s tournament will benefit the Brantford Sports Infrastructure Legacy Fund and the Walter and Wayne Gretzky Scholarship Foundation for the Blind Youth of Canada.
